Hi, I'm Mike Clendenin, a public communications specialist with
40+ years of experience in news, government, and the energy industry.
On and off screen, my career has taken me to some pretty interesting places. Whether I was uncovering remarkable stories or putting out fires sparked by unfortunate events or poor communication, serving as a calm and steady presence through them all has become my 'thing'. As a corporate spokesperson, I've trained media relations professionals to spot positive stories worth telling, and respond strategically to media inquiries during emergencies.

Storytelling is key with any situation, as well as being accurate, swift and transparent in communicating with your stakeholders across digital, social and traditional media channels. Over the years, these skills have helped me build and maintain strong relations with reporters and major news outlets.

A few more things to know. I'm a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston with a bachelor's degree in journalism, and was also president of Alpha Kappa Sigma fraternity. I'm a long time member and trustee of the New York Press Club, and long(er)time fan of the New York Mets.
